About Us
We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Electronics Integration team ensures that all electronic systems are fully integrated within the F1 car. From wiring harnesses and other mechanical components, integration is key to delivering performance and reliability. As an Electronics Integration Student Placement, you’ll be part of a team that designs the mechanical installation of complex electrical systems.
The Role
During your placement, you’ll support the design of the mechanical installation of electronic systems across the car. You’ll work closely with electronic designers and other design groups across the Engineering Office to ensure that all systems are correctly integrated within the F1 car.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the mechanical integration of electronic components
- Support the design of wiring harness installation
- Help maintain documentation of electronic systems
- Collaborate with other design groups, electronics production, and trackside teams to ensure robust and reliable mechanical integration
Who We’re Looking For
- Currently studying a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of first principles of Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
- Good experience using 3D CAD software (3DX is preferable) to design mechanical components
- First experience in a race team/motorsport environment during an internship or Formula Student
- Passion for motorsport and a proactive, hands-on mindset
- You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
- Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
