Overview of the Role
Everfox is seeking an Electronics Lab Manager to lead activities at our small Test & Development Lab in London. This role involves assembly, testing, and process improvement, with strong collaboration between Hardware and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Testing
- Lead product assembly, cable fabrication, and test processes under guidance from production engineers
- Ensure products meet quality standards for delivery to customers
Lab Ownership & Safety
- Take full responsibility for maintaining a safe, organised, compliant, and well-stocked lab environment
- Manage inventory of tools and consumables

Equipment & Inventory Management
- Oversee electronic test kits and goods receipt processes
- Ensure accurate bookings and storage of incoming stock
Process Optimisation
- Continuously improve production documentation by following processes and providing critical technical feedback
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Test kit management: Experience using and managing electronic test equipment in a production environment (e.g., DMM, oscilloscope)
- Electro-Mechanical skills: Proficiency with:
- Mechanical hand tools (assembly, cabling)
- Fine-pitch SMD soldering/rework
- Operating systems & scripting:
- Competence in Linux and Windows environments
- Ability to run automated/manual test scripts
- Operational autonomy:
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high lab standards
- Strong desire to transition into managing a small team
- Precision: Meticulous attention to technical procedures and accurate record-keeping
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Industry standards: Knowledge of (IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-7711/7721)
- CAD software: Basic use for viewing schematics/mechanical layouts
- Eligible for a UK SC clearance

Salary & Benefits
- Base salary range: £31,500.00–£42,700.00 GBP (adjustable based on experience and location)
- Bonus plans and additional benefits including:
- Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO)
