Lead Electrical & Electronics Engineering for Next-Generation Semiconductor Metrology
£65,000 - £83,000 + EMI Share Options + Private Healthcare + 3x Death in Service + Hybrid Working

We're looking for an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the electrical systems, power distribution, electronics and signal acquisition at the heart of our products, along with the electrical safety and compliance of our platforms.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading and developing a high-performing electrical and electronics team
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting engineers through regular development discussions
- Building technical capability and encouraging engineering excellence
- Creating an environment where people can do their best work
- Providing supervisory oversight of the controls engineering function, ensuring close alignment with electrical and electronics priorities

Driving electrical and electronics engineering strategy
- Defining electrical system architecture, power distribution and electronics capability
- Influencing future product development and technology roadmaps
- Establishing engineering standards and best practice
Owning electrical safety and compliance
- Taking responsibility for electrical cabinet design and power distribution across our platforms
- Ensuring electrical safety and compliance throughout the product lifecycle, including CE marking and SEMI safety standards (e.g. SEMI S2)
- Leading electrical risk assessments and supporting certification activities
Delivering robust electronics and measurement performance
- Designing and reviewing electronics and power systems for instrumentation and precision measurement
- Ensuring signal integrity across complex electrical and electronics platforms
- Optimising power delivery, grounding and noise performance
Collaborating across engineering disciplines
- Working closely with optics, controls, software, systems and mechanical engineering teams
- Supporting successful project delivery from concept through to production
- Driving technical decision-making across multidisciplinary programmes
What We're Looking For
Experience in environments such as:
- Semiconductor equipment
- Semiconductor metrology
- Electrical and electronics capital equipment
- Precision test and measurement systems
- Advanced manufacturing equipment
Essential Experience
- Leadership of electrical or electronics engineering teams
- Analogue and mixed-signal electronics design
- PCB design and signal integrity
- Electrical cabinet design and power distribution within complex systems
- Electrical safety and compliance, including CE marking and SEMI standards
- Product lifecycle management and engineering change control
- NPI and manufacturing support
Highly Desirable
- Low-noise amplifier design and selection
- ADC and DAC architecture and implementation
- Signal generation, conditioning and acquisition
- Power distribution and grounding within sensitive systems
- Precision positioning systems
- Piezo drive systems
- Frequency domain analysis
- Electrical/electronics simulation and PCB design tools

Your recruitment journey:
We will interview you: Monday to Friday UK Time 9am to 4.30pm and we'll be as flexible as we can with Global Scheduling
1st stage:
- (45 minute) Remote meeting to evaluate your experience and technical ability
2nd stage:
- (2.5 hours) Face to face onsite evaluating technical, presentation and communication skills along with your ways of working and your opportunity to know more about us

Location and working pattern:
We recognise the value of flexibility and offer a hybrid working model wherever possible. Most employees work onsite three days per week, although some positions require a greater onsite presence due to the nature of the work and business need
