Electronics Repair Technician

Are you an experienced Electronics Repair Technician who enjoys diagnosing faults and bringing equipment back to life?

Do you have strong electronic fault-finding skills in phone, tablet, laptop, or consumer electronics repair?

Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing business supplying and servicing electronic equipment for the leisure and gaming industry across the UK.

They are continually investing in new technology and expanding their business, giving their Technicians the opportunity to develop new skills while working in a friendly, supportive environment.

Hours and Pay

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, in their Hull workshop
  • £13 to £14.50 an hour, subject to experience

Their workshop is responsible for repairing a wide range of equipment including:

  • Windows and Android tablets
  • Bingo handheld terminals
  • Thermal printers
  • LCD monitors
  • Note acceptors
  • Power supplies
  • Electronic assemblies and peripheral devices

No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working with a variety of technologies.

The Role

As an Electronics Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and testing a wide range of electronic equipment to a high standard.

Typical duties include:

  • Diagnosing electronic and hardware faults
  • Repairing Windows and Android tablets
  • Repairing printers, monitors and gaming equipment
  • Component-level repairs where appropriate
  • Soldering and replacing electronic components
  • Testing repaired equipment before dispatch
  • Recording repairs accurately using internal systems
  • Helping maintain high workshop standards
  • Identifying recurring faults and suggesting improvements

The Skills and Experience Required for This Role

Our client is looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience repairing electronic equipment
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with Windows and/or Android devices
  • Confidence dismantling and rebuilding electronic equipment
  • Good soldering skills
  • An understanding of electronic circuits and components
  • A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience repairing gaming, amusement or payment equipment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
