Electronics Support Engineer – Cadillation Formula 1® Team (Silverstone Facility)

About the Role

Fueled by bold ambition. We have an opportunity for an Electronics Support Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the electronic systems and associated hardware to support car operation, ensuring peak performance on and off the track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the electronic systems for events
  • Support the operation of the electronic systems at events
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability, including:
    • Correct calibration and operation of electronic systems
    • Adherence to all trackside operations and procedures
  • Resolution of electronic system faults in a timely manner
  • Continuously help to improve operational processes and procedures through innovation and best practice

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • Previous experience of providing track support within motorsport
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Configuration and management of motorsport data logging systems, preferably:
      • F1 SECU systems and associated tools
      • Automotive electronic systems, CAN bus protocols, and sensing technologies
  • Familiarity with:
    • Electrical schematics and wire harnessing technology
    • Work requiring experience with high voltage electrical systems (in hybrid or electric vehicles)
  • Planning and time management skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills, including verbal presentations and email correspondence
  • Ability to work independently and meet challenging deadlines, with minimal supervision
  • Strong IT proficiency, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A commitment to contributing to an open and inclusive culture
