Elite 3E Developer (Analyst Programmer)
Glasgow | Hybrid | £40,000 - £65,000
VIQU has partnered with a large international professional services organisation seeking an Elite 3E Developer to join its Digital Practice Solutions team.
This is a hands-on development and technical ownership role supporting business-critical finance and practice systems. You’ll take ownership of development workstreams across design, estimation, build, testing, release and support, while acting as a technical lead for the organisation’s Elite 3E platform.
They are open to experienced Elite 3E professionals, but will also consider strong finance systems developers or technical leads from comparable web-based application environments who have the right Microsoft development background and are looking to cross-skill into 3E.
Key Responsibilities of the Elite 3E Developer
- Act as a technical lead and go-to person for Elite 3E
- Develop and enhance 3E applications and modules
- Support internally developed applications, integrations and the 3E platform
- Own development workstreams from specification and design through to release and support
- Produce technical and functional documentation
- Work with consultants, developers, business analysts, architects and business users
- Carry out unit testing and systems integration testing
- Coordinate user acceptance testing
- Resolve escalated third-line incidents
- Support upgrades across 3E, time-tracking and related systems
- Participate in the on-call support rota

Key Requirements of the Elite 3E Developer
- Commercial software development experience
- Knowledge of web-based software architecture and design
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server and SQL scripting experience -.NET Framework experience, primarily VB.NET
- XML technologies including XSLT and XPath
- Experience taking technical ownership of business-critical applications
- Strong hands-on development, testing and support capability
- Ability to estimate technical work accurately and deliver against commitments
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Desirable Experience
- Elite 3E or similar financial systems experience
- Finance or legal sector experience
- Elite 3E IDE and database structure knowledge
- Microsoft SSRS or similar reporting experience
- Experience with customisable third-party solutions
- Multi-tier application architecture and design patterns
- Strong database design, analysis and development experience
