Job Purpose
To manage a caseload of non-litigated Employer’s Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) personal injury claims, delivering high-quality legal advice and client service.
The role focuses on progressing claims efficiently through the EL/PL portal and pre-litigation stages, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a varied caseload of non-litigated EL/PL claims, primarily within the portal and pre-action protocol stages.
- Assess liability and quantum, review medical evidence, and draft schedules of special damages.
- Provide clear, empathetic legal advice to clients and insurers, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations.
- Liaise with external agencies including medical experts, investigators, and rehabilitation providers.
- Ensure timely progression of cases in line with the Pre-Action Protocol for Low Value Personal Injury Claims and internal service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate records using case management systems (e.g., Solcase) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Contribute to team performance by meeting financial and productivity targets.
- Promote a positive, inclusive working culture and uphold the firm’s values.

Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in handling non-litigated EL/PL claims, ideally within a personal injury environment.
- Strong understanding of the EL/PL portal and pre-litigation processes.
- Excellent client care and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in case management systems and general IT tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
