Overview

We are partnering with a leading global investment bank seeking an experienced CEEMEA Rates Flow Trader to join its London-based trading desk. The successful candidate will be responsible for market-making, risk management, and client flow execution across a range of CEEMEA local rates markets, with a particular focus on Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
This is a highly visible role working closely with sales, structuring, research, and global trading teams to drive revenues, enhance client relationships, and expand the franchise footprint across the CEEMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and risk client flow across CEEMEA government bonds, interest rate swaps, FRAs, and money market products.
  • Make markets to institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and banks.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies across CEEMEA local rates markets.
  • Monitor and manage trading risk within approved limits while optimizing risk-adjusted returns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams and key clients.
  • Identify market opportunities arising from macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, and political events across CEEMEA.
  • Collaborate with quant, electronic trading, and technology teams to improve pricing and execution capabilities.
  • Work closely with research and strategy teams to generate trade ideas and market insights.
  • Contribute to the growth of the bank's CEEMEA rates franchise through enhanced liquidity provision and client engagement.

Required Experience

  • Significant experience trading CEEMEA rates products within a leading investment bank or major financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of local currency rates markets across regions such as:
    • South Africa (ZAR)
    • Turkey (TRY)
    • Poland (PLN)
    • Czech Republic (CZK)
    • Hungary (HUF)
    • Romania (RON)
    • Israel (ILS)
    • GCC rates markets
