Company Description
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they’re likely to die from.
Job Description
Join a dynamic team at a pivotal moment of transformation, where significant investment in email marketing is creating exciting opportunities to innovate, influence strategy, and help amplify the voice of Marie Curie. You'll have a direct impact on achieving our mission while working in a collaborative, agile environment that values fresh ideas and empowers people to make things happen.
Marie Curie's Digital Marketing team is at the heart of supporter engagement, delivering intelligent, data-led campaigns that drive fundraising, awareness, and long-term supporter relationships. As part of a high-performing, collaborative team, you'll work alongside specialists across fundraising, content, design, CRM, and digital marketing to maximise the impact of one of the charity's most important communication channels.
As Email Marketing Executive, you'll help bring Marie Curie's campaigns to life across email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Every message you help create will play a part in engaging supporters, raising vital funds, increasing awareness, and helping more people access Marie Curie's services. From building campaigns and analysing performance to supporting automated journeys, you'll gain hands-on experience while making a genuine difference.

- Develop creative and content briefs in collaboration with creative, digital, and fundraising teams.
- Support SMS and WhatsApp campaign delivery as Marie Curie's owned channels continue to grow.
- Assist with audience segmentation, personalisation, and dynamic content to improve supporter engagement.
- Help build and maintain automated supporter journeys, including welcome and thank-you programmes.
- Analyse campaign performance, support A/B testing, and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the charity and provide support on email marketing activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
