Email Manager
We're looking for an experienced Email Manager to lead the strategic and technical delivery of our email marketing programme.
As the driving force behind our email channel, you'll lead a team of Email Executives while overseeing the delivery and continuous optimisation of highly targeted, data-driven campaigns. From customer acquisition and engagement through to retention and cross-sell activity, you'll play a critical role in maximising the value of every customer interaction.
Working closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Data and Technology, you'll be the go-to expert for all things email, from personalisation and dynamic content through to customer segmentation, email architecture and deployment governance.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a highly technical email specialist who thrives on solving complex challenges. With expert-level Bloomreach Engagement experience and advanced Jinja coding skills, you'll build, optimise and scale sophisticated customer journeys that deliver the right message to the right customer at exactly the right time.
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week from home offering flexibility while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.

What You’ll Do
- Own the email technology roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve capability, efficiency and campaign performance.
- Set and deliver email channel KPIs, reporting performance and insights to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and optimise deliverability through Google Postmaster, Microsoft SNDS and Bloomreach Engagement reporting.
- Build and deploy highly personalised, dynamic email communications at scale.
- Oversee email send planning and scheduling for high-volume activity.
- Own and continuously improve the end-to-end email QA process.
- Own email deliverability performance and sender reputation management.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow email reach and database engagement across the business.
- Analyse campaign performance and report on email reach, list growth, unsubscribe rates and deliverability metrics.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Email Consultants.

What You’ll Need
You'll be a technically strong email marketing manager who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
You'll also bring:
- Significant experience within Email Marketing, CRM, Marketing Automation or Customer Lifecycle Marketing.
- Expert-level experience with Bloomreach Engagement
- Advanced Jinja coding and template development skills
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Strong understanding of email architecture, rendering and customer journey orchestration.
- Proven ownership of email governance, QA and deployment processes.
- Experience managing email deliverability and sender reputation.
- Strong knowledge of customer data, segmentation and data-driven marketing.
- Experience establishing coding standards and development best practices, with the ability to troubleshoot coding issues.
- A proven track record of delivering multiple projects within fast-paced environments.
