Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

You don't need to have years of marketing experience. This role would suit someone who is at the beginning of their marketing career and is keen to learn. You might have a marketing qualification, a degree, some work experience or simply a genuine interest in marketing and digital communications.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent written English and enjoys writing.
  • Is highly organised and has a strong eye for detail.
  • Is comfortable working across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Is curious about how things work and enjoys learning new systems.
  • Has an interest in email marketing, automation and digital marketing.
  • Can take a brief, ask the right questions and turn it into something great.
  • Is confident communicating with different people across the business.
  • Isn't afraid to get stuck in and take ownership.

Experience with an email marketing platform such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar would be useful, but it isn't essential. What's more important is your ability to learn and your enthusiasm for developing a career in marketing.

Apply now to join Distinct Recruitment.
