About the Role

Email is our best-performing marketing channel, and we're investing to scale it further. We're looking for an experienced Email Marketing Campaign Manager who can hit the ground running - someone who knows HubSpot inside out, can build campaigns and automated workflows at pace, and writes copy that sells the value of attending our events, not just describes them.

This isn't an entry-level role. You'll be expected to work independently: building complex email journeys, and managing segmentation and targeting across a high-volume, multi-brand audience. A key part of this role is understanding how to segment effectively when contacts sit across multiple brands and events - knowing how to avoid over-messaging, manage overlap between audiences, and target the right people with the right content at the right time, without campaigns clashing or contacts feeling over-emailed.

You'll work closely with our existing Campaign Marketing Manager, with portfolio responsibility split between you to manage workload across our full range of events and awards - and with Sales to make sure email is generating and nurturing genuine pipeline, not just opens and clicks.

If you're someone who can look at an event flyer and immediately see the campaign, the audience segments, and the story that will get people to register - we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Build & Execution

  • Build, test, and deploy marketing emails end-to-end in HubSpot, including complex or multi-step campaigns
  • Take ownership of email campaigns across our events and awards portfolio with minimal oversight
  • Ensure all campaigns are built to a high standard of quality, brand consistency, and accuracy before send

Copywriting

  • Write email copy that leads with value proposition - clearly articulating why someone should register, not just what the event is
  • Adapt tone, angle, and messaging across different personas, sectors, and event types
  • Repurpose and refresh existing content (flyers, speaker line-ups, past event material) into compelling email copy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Automation & Workflows

  • Design and build automated nurture journeys and lead-scoring workflows in HubSpot at scale
  • Map multi-step campaign sequences (e.g. save-the-date through to last-chance-to-register) that build momentum toward an event
  • Set up and maintain triggered, behaviour-based email sequences

Segmentation & Targeting

  • Build and maintain refined audience segments (new vs. returning contacts, event attendance history, pipeline stage, engagement level)
  • Manage segmentation and targeting across a high-volume audience that spans multiple brands and events, ensuring contacts are targeted appropriately without duplication, conflict, or over-messaging
  • Understand and manage audience overlap between brands/events - deciding when to cross-promote and when to suppress, to protect deliverability and the contact experience
  • Use behavioural and CRM data to personalise content and improve targeting
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell between related events and awards within the portfolio (e.g. Award attendees into Summit campaigns)

Testing, Reporting & Optimisation

  • Run structured A/B tests (subject lines, content, send times, CTAs) and apply learnings to future campaigns
  • Report on campaign performance with a clear focus on registrations and pipeline impact, not just engagement metrics
  • Continuously identify ways to improve conversion through the email funnel

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales/Delegate team to align email activity with outreach and lead follow-up
  • Partner with marketing on shared standards, testing strategy, and portfolio-wide planning
  • Liaise with design and content teams to source assets and messaging

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven, hands-on experience in email marketing, ideally in a B2B or events environment
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot, including email builds, workflows/automation, and segmentation (please be prepared to speak to this in detail)
  • A track record of writing email copy that drives action - not just informs
  • Confidence working independently
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, list management, and using data to inform campaign decisions
  • Demonstrable experience segmenting and targeting a high-volume audience across multiple brands, products, or business units, including managing audience overlap
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality output at pace

  • Experience building lead-scoring or nurture workflows tied to sales handoff
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and how email activity feeds into a broader sales funnel
  • Basic HTML/email formatting knowledge

What Success Looks Like

  • You're building and shipping high-quality and high-volume campaigns independently within weeks of joining
  • Email-driven registrations for events show a measurable uplift
  • Automated, behaviour-based workflows are live and reducing manual campaign management
  • Segmentation and personalisation are noticeably more sophisticated across the portfolio, with audience overlap between brands and events actively managed rather than left to chance
  • Email continues to grow as a genuine source of qualified leads for Sales

Why Join Us

  • Join a high-performing marketing team at an exciting stage of growth, with real ownership over a top-priority channel
  • Work across a varied portfolio of events and awards, with scope to shape strategy, not just execute it

  • Direct visibility with senior stakeholders, including our CEO, on the impact of your work
