The Role
As Email Marketing Manager, you’ll take strategic and technical ownership of the email channel, reporting to the Head of Customer Marketing and managing a team of Email Consultants.
- Oversee the delivery of high-volume, personalised and dynamic email campaigns, ensuring activity is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time.
- Own the email technology roadmap, champion best practice across Bloomreach Engagement and identify new opportunities to improve segmentation, dynamic content and real-time personalisation.
- Own and continually improve the end-to-end quality assurance process.
- Establish robust testing and sign-off procedures covering personalisation logic, dynamic content, data accuracy, rendering, links, tracking and reporting.
- Take responsibility for email deliverability and sender reputation, using platforms including Google Postmaster and Microsoft SNDS.
- Develop the strategy for growing the organisation’s email reach and use performance insights to support acquisition, retention and customer lifecycle objectives.

This is a highly visible role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, internal marketing teams, suppliers and agencies. You’ll set channel KPIs, manage relevant technology budgets and clearly communicate email performance, successes and areas for improvement.
Skills and Experience
- Significant experience within email marketing, CRM or marketing automation
- Expert-level knowledge of Bloomreach Engagement
- Advanced Jinja coding and email template development skills
- Experience delivering highly personalised, data-driven email campaigns at scale
- Strong understanding of email architecture, customer journeys, segmentation and dynamic content
- Proven ownership of email quality assurance, deployment governance and technical sign-off
- Experience managing email deliverability and sender reputation
- Knowledge of Google Postmaster, Microsoft SNDS or similar deliverability tools
- Experience working with APIs, integrations and data feeds to support personalisation
- The ability to troubleshoot coding, rendering and data-integration issues
- Previous experience managing and developing an email marketing team
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels

Benefits
- Alongside a salary of £50,000–£60,000, you’ll receive an annual bonus of up to 10%, dependent on company performance, hybrid working with two days per week in the Bristol office, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, employer pension contributions matched up to 6.5%, a complimentary company membership from day one and access to a colleague share scheme that includes a £2,500 share-value allocation, maturing upon a qualifying business event.
