Email Marketing Specialist (Cold Outreach) | Macclesfield (1-2 days in office/month) | Full-time | £35-40k
I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a growing digital marketing and customer acquisition business for an experienced Cold Outreach Email Marketing Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a high-volume B2B cold email acquisition channel and help build a scalable strategy across multiple products, industries, and international markets.
This is not a traditional 1-to-1 sales outreach position. I’m looking for someone with hands-on experience building and scaling cold email campaigns, managing large B2B prospect databases, protecting deliverability, and turning campaign data into measurable leads and revenue.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute a high-volume B2B cold email marketing strategy.
- Build, launch, and optimise outbound campaigns across large prospect databases.
- Create scalable sending strategies while protecting inbox placement, sender reputation, and domain health.
- Manage email infrastructure, including domains, mailboxes, and warming processes.
- Clean, validate, enrich, and segment B2B prospect data.
- Build automated email sequences designed to generate qualified leads and applications.
- Write concise, commercially focused cold email copy.
- Test subject lines, messaging, offers, CTAs, audience segments, and sequence structures.
- Run controlled tests before scaling successful campaigns.
- Monitor delivery rates, bounce rates, spam placement, conversions, lead volume, and revenue.
- Analyse campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop repeatable processes covering data acquisition, validation, segmentation, testing, and scaling.
- Work collaboratively with CRM, Sales, Compliance, Media, and Creative teams.
- Ensure campaigns follow relevant data protection and electronic marketing regulations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
