The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world's oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring.
We are recruiting for an Email Marketing/CRM Assistant on a permanent contract within our Marketing department. The Email Marketing/CRM Assistant supports the Email Marketing/CRM team in the day-to-day execution and maintenance of email marketing campaigns. This role helps ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and on-brand email communications that support lead nurturing, customer engagement, and conversion goals, upholding the Club brand standards.
Daily duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the build, testing, scheduling, and deployment of various email marketing campaigns (newsletters, promotional emails, automated journeys, transactional communications) using the email platform.
- Administer the team's email deployment calendar and schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met. Track the status of email tasks, content, and assets across the execution workflow.
- Conduct rigorous quality checks and cross email client testing on email campaigns prior to deployment to ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and consistent rendering across various email clients and devices.
- Monitor key email metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) and assist in gathering data and preparing regular performance reports for the team.
- Assist in reviewing and implementing updates or content refreshes to existing email automation series (journeys).
- Support the setup and execution of A/B tests on email elements (subject lines, content, CTAs, send times) as directed, recording results and insights.
- Implement audience segmentation lists and updates within the email platform to support targeted campaigns.
- Work with wider department including design teams to confirm email assets and copy are engaging, on-brand, and meet technical requirements for email delivery.
- Assist with email platform management tasks, including managing lists, ensuring data hygiene, and troubleshooting basic technical issues related to deployment and automation working with line manager.
- Ensure all email activities adhere to relevant data protection and marketing regulations.
- Provide essential administrative and campaign support to the Email Marketing/CRM Manager and the broader marketing team, helping to integrate email activities with wider marketing initiatives.
- Contribute ideas and relevant information during planning and meeting sessions to help align campaigns with departmental goals.

We are looking for the following in applications:
- GCSE/Level 2 equivalent in English and Maths.
- Basic familiarity with campaign building, list management, and reporting.
- Experience in a digital marketing or administrative capacity, preferably with exposure to email marketing platforms
- Proficient skills in all Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
