Programme Coordinator - Executive MBA (EMBA) Office

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programme Coordinator to join the Executive MBA (EMBA) Office. This is a varied and fast-paced role, offering the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a globally recognised Executive MBA experience. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of programme activities and events, helping to maintain the exceptional standards of service and professionalism associated with CJBS, while working closely with a diverse and international community of students, faculty, and partners.

About The Role

The EMBA office runs the operations, course delivery, events, faculty support and student services for the Executive MBA programmes. This role will play a crucial part in course administration and event management of both small- and large-scale events, including the EMBA College dinners, Orientation Week, International Business Study Trips, Electives Week, the Cambridge Ecosystem week and Graduation.

The role holder will therefore interact with a diverse customer base of professional students, faculty, and staff, as well as university and external event services. As such, the EMBA Programmes Coordinator plays a central role in the high level of customer service necessary to maintain the excellent reputation of CJBS.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities, skills and attributes:

  • Previous course administration experience or a high level of administration experience working with senior executives
  • Event experience ideally at an executive level with both small and large-scale events
  • Demonstrable customer service experience working with executive clients or similar clientele
  • Excellent organisational skills with a clear, strong, demonstrable level of attention to detail and strong time management/prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to demonstrate the confidence and awareness to manage and support student welfare matters and highly sensitive casework in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Educated to at least A level or with equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong IT skills: excellent all-round ability in using Microsoft Office suite (higher level skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred)
  • Skills and knowledge of eLearning technology; skilled at quickly learning and adapting to new technologies and has a strong interest in promoting and proposing ways of improving processes and systems
