Role Description
The Embankment Restaurant and Café Manager will oversee daily operations of the restaurant and café at CitySuites, ensuring a high-quality, consistent guest experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing front-of-house and back-of-house teams
- Coordinating service and food presentation
- Monitoring reservations and table management
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and safety
- Handling stock control, supplier relationships, and basic financial tasks such as budgeting, cost control, and reporting
- Staff scheduling, training, performance management
- Collaboration with other departments to support wider CitySuites events and guest services

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester.

Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant, café, or hotel F&B management, including team leadership and day-to-day operational oversight
- Strong customer service and guest relations skills, with the ability to handle feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Knowledge of basic financial management for hospitality, including budgeting, cost and waste control, and revenue monitoring
- Understanding of food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and best practices for maintaining a safe, compliant environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate staff, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to plan staff rotas, train and develop team members, and foster an inclusive, respectful working culture
- Comfort with POS systems, reservation platforms, and basic IT tools used in restaurant and café operations
- Previous experience in premium or luxury hospitality environments is advantageous
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Relevant qualification in hospitality management or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory
