Join a global semiconductor leader – Embedded Cryptography Engineer, Glasgow
A global semiconductor technology company is expanding its security engineering team and is looking for an Embedded Cryptography Engineer to develop state-of-the-art cryptographic software protecting products across automotive, payment, identification, IoT and edge computing applications.
This is a highly technical role focused on embedded cryptography, security countermeasures and low-level software development, working closely with security architects, firmware and OS teams, hardware engineers and internal evaluation teams. You’ll have the opportunity to work across both established and emerging cryptographic technologies, including Post-Quantum Cryptography.

For this Embedded Cryptography Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
- Core experience centred around cryptography and embedded security
- Strong understanding and implementation experience with cryptographic primitives
- Strong C and Assembly development skills within embedded environments
- Good understanding of ARM Cortex and RISC-V microcontroller architectures
- Experience developing security countermeasures against side-channel and fault-injection attacks
- Strong debugging, analysis and low-level problem-solving skills
- Experience working closely with hardware, firmware, OS and security architecture teams
- Experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography or Rust would be advantageous
