Job Description: Embedded Engineer (Mandarin Speaking)
π Location: Brentwood, UK
π Languages Required: Mandarin (Fluent) & English (Professional)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Engineer with fluency in Mandarin to join our team in Brentwood, UK. This role is ideal for a candidate who can bridge technical collaboration with our China/Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, partners, or manufacturing teams, while working on embedded systems design and development.
Candidates with strong technical backgrounds from India are encouraged to apply β relocation support/visa sponsorship details will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware for hardware products
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, and product management
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking vendors, suppliers, or engineering teams in China for technical discussions, documentation, and troubleshooting
- Debug and optimize firmware for performance, memory, and power efficiency
- Support hardware bring-up, integration, and validation
- Translate technical specifications and documentation between English and Mandarin as needed
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best engineering practices

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded programming
- Experience with microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, ESP32, etc.), RTOS, and low-level hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART)
- Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) β required for liaising with China-based partners/suppliers
- Strong English communication skills
- Familiarity with debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with international/cross-border engineering teams
- Prior exposure to consumer electronics, IoT, or automotive embedded systems
- Candidates currently based in India with willingness to relocate to Brentwood, UK are strongly preferred
