Embedded Engineer – NXP, IMX8, C++, HTTP, MQTT, Jlink, JTag, ICE, Debugging, Linux, Yocto, Embedded Engineer - £30-35ph – Contract - Sunbury
Our consultancy client is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join them for an initial 6-month engagement and work for a leading organization based in Sunbury on Thames. The role will involve 5 days per week on-site.
Key Skills:
- You have 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform)
- Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science
- Expertise in debugging, and communication protocols (HTTP, MQTT)
- Knowledge in JLink, JTag, ICE Debugger, Serial Port Debugging
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Good to have experience with Yocto build system
Main Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for design and development of real-time embedded software and firmware, and PC/mobile based software application
- Analyze domain-specific technical requirements and modification as per end customer or system requirement and participate in software design
- Perform software testing including unit, functional, and system level requirements including manual and automated
- Document technical deliverables like software specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases, and test reports
- Develop software solutions from established programming languages or by learning a new language required for specific projects
- Develop new approaches to complex design problems
