Embedded Recruitment Consultant - AI/Tech Venture Capital Portfolio
Central London | Hybrid - 1-2 days WFH
Up to £50,000 Base | £100k-£200k Realistic OTE
Most recruiters spend a significant amount of time trying to win access to exciting clients and then competing with several other agencies to fill the same roles.
This opportunity works very differently.
You will sit within an elite venture capital and go-to-market platform. The team functions with the pace, autonomy and earning potential of an agency, but works on 100% retained searches for its portfolio companies.
Those relationships include some of the most sought-after names in technology, including xAI, OpenAI and Snowflake, alongside the next generation of disruptive AI, SaaS and cybersecurity businesses.
The Market
You’ll help technology companies build the commercial teams that turn innovative products into global businesses.
When an AI or SaaS company raises investment and prepares to scale, it needs exceptional people across:
- Revenue and commercial leadership
- Enterprise sales
- Sales engineering
- Customer success
- Partnerships and alliances
- Marketing
These are business-critical hires for companies moving from early traction through to international growth.
You could be helping a frontier AI business appoint its next commercial leader, building the first enterprise sales team for a venture-backed software company, or supporting an established SaaS organisation through its next phase of global expansion.
Why the Model Works
Because the team is embedded within the investment platform, consultants have direct access to portfolio companies and their hiring requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
That means:
- 100% retained searches
- Exclusive access to category-defining clients
- Consistent job flow
- Less time fighting other agencies for ownership
- More time speaking with exceptional candidates and closing deals
- Direct exposure to founders, investors and senior technology leaders
This is not traditional in-house recruitment. You’ll still work in a highly commercial, performance-led environment and earn commission on your placements.
The difference is that the client access and demand already exist.
Earning Potential
Current performance demonstrates what is realistically achievable.
Even the lowest deal volume across the existing team is averaging 2.8 placements per month this year, equating to approximately £100k in total compensation.
Higher performers are earning more than £180k, with realistic total earning potential reaching £100k-£200k.
Who They’re Looking For
- Recruitment experience is required
- Experience in GTM, SaaS, AI, cybersecurity or technology recruitment would be highly relevant
- Recruiters from adjacent specialist or high-value markets will also be considered
- Strong candidate engagement and search delivery skills
- Commercial, competitive and comfortable working at pace
- Able to build credible relationships with senior candidates
- Motivated by exceptional clients, high deal volume and earning potential
You’ll need to enjoy operating in a demanding, high-performance environment where quality and pace are equally important.
Why Join?
- Work with businesses including xAI, OpenAI and Snowflake
- Sit within a leading venture capital and GTM ecosystem
- Own retained searches rather than compete for contingent vacancies
- Build an exceptional international network across AI and enterprise software
- Learn how the world’s strongest technology companies build their revenue teams
- Up to £50,000 base salary
- £100k-£200k realistic OTE
- Central London office
- 1-2 days per week WFH

Beyond the immediate earnings, you’ll develop a network spanning founders, investors, CROs and leading technology sales professionals. That exposure can create longer-term opportunities across executive search, GTM advisory, portfolio consultancy and the wider VC and PE ecosystem.
This is a rare opportunity to retain the commercial upside of agency recruitment while gaining the access, exclusivity and market credibility that comes from sitting inside a world-class investment platform.
