Join a leading defence technology company – Embedded Software Engineer, Stevenage
A leading defence technology organisation is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced seeker systems.
This is a hands-on role covering the full software lifecycle, from requirements, architecture and design through to implementation, verification and testing. You’ll work closely with hardware and firmware engineers on complex real-time systems, with opportunities to work directly with specialist hardware and test equipment in the lab.

For this Embedded Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience developing hard real-time embedded software
- Strong C programming skills
- Experience with embedded communication protocols such as SPI, UART, Ethernet or PCIe
- Experience with embedded software architecture and design
- Familiarity with software design methodologies such as UML
- Strong understanding of system performance, integration and debugging
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle
- A proactive, collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
