R&D Engineer Embedded SW
The R&D Engineer Embedded SW is a member of an international R&D development team located in Cambridge, UK. The R&D team is developing highly sophisticated sensing devices to optimize production processes and for environmental emission monitoring to meet legal requirements.
The R&D Engineer Embedded SW acts in a team of scientists and engineers for hardware and embedded SW development, starting from circuit ideation, schematics, layout, and prototype production through to Embedded SW programming, testing, and handover to production.
The R&D Engineer Embedded SW is responsible for Embedded Software Design. A medium-level of understanding of HW design enables them to discuss, design, and implement HW close solutions. As part of a team, they will design HW and SW concepts for approval-relevant requirements (SIL, QAL1), implementing and testing metrological and functional algorithms, taking functional safety (SIL) and certified emission monitoring (QAL, AMS) into account.
The R&D Engineer Embedded SW also participates (depending on qualification) in the development/testing of software and hardware for PC/tablet/smartphone systems.
