Canberra Health Services is partnering with RMIT University to offer an exciting Earn and Learn opportunity through the Embedded Student Model in Nuclear Medicine.
This innovative program allows you to balance your studies with paid employment while gaining hands-on clinical experience in a supportive healthcare environment. You'll contribute to the future Nuclear Medicine workforce while building the skills, knowledge, and experience needed for a rewarding career.
The program also provides the opportunity to study and work locally, supporting your transition into the profession and helping you establish your career within the Canberra community.

Embedded Student Model: Bachelor of Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine - Industry Practice) | RMIT University

About the Model:
The Embedded Student Nuclear Medicine position is a clinical education initiative designed to support students pursuing a career in Nuclear Medicine. Designed for ACT residents, this opportunity is ideal for Year 12 graduates and mature-age individuals pursuing a career in healthcare.

As part of this program, students will be employed by Canberra Health Services for up to two days per week while undertaking the Bachelor of Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine - Industry Practice) through RMIT University. The role provides valuable workplace experience, supports achievement of course requirements, and includes fortnightly financial support throughout the program.

Important Information
If you are successful, Canberra Health Services will provide a letter of support for your application to the RMIT Embedded Student Model program. This letter must be submitted as part of your RMIT application.
Following acceptance into the course by RMIT University, Canberra Health Services will contact you to arrange orientation and commencement arrangements.
Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy (Category A)
- Enrolment in the RMIT Embedded Student Nuclear Medicine Industry Practice course – this will be confirmed between Canberra Health Services and RMIT once a successful candidate is identified for this role.

- Details of two referees
- A copy of year 12 results (if available when applying) or; A list of subjects being currently being studied in year 12
- A copy of your university transcript (if you have previously completed, or are completing a degree currently)
- Written response to the key selection criteria, below (maximum two A4 pages)

Selection Criteria Questions:
