Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Embryologist role based in London. The Embryologist will perform and oversee laboratory procedures related to assisted reproduction, including gamete handling, fertilization, embryo culture, and cryopreservation.

Daily tasks include:

  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Monitoring embryo development
  • Documenting all procedures accurately
  • Adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory guidelines

The role involves close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and andrology specialists to optimize treatment outcomes, as well as communicating clear and compassionate updates to patients about laboratory findings. The Embryologist will also contribute to quality control, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within the IVF laboratory.

  • Strong laboratory skills, including aseptic technique, sample handling, and use of specialized reproductive lab equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedures and protocols in a clinical or research setting.
  • Solid foundation in reproductive medicine, including embryology and fertility-related clinical practices.
  • Experience in assisted reproduction techniques, such as ICSI, embryo transfer support, and cryopreservation.
  • Knowledge of andrology, including semen analysis, preparation, and handling for assisted reproductive procedures.
  • Relevant degree in biological sciences, biomedical science, reproductive medicine, or a closely related field; advanced training or certification in embryology is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and commitment to regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
  • Prior experience in a fertility or IVF clinic is highly beneficial.
