33-days holiday, Healthcare benefits, Employee perks platform

Are you an experienced EMC Test Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects within the aerospace, defence and commercial sectors?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading international testing and certification organisation within a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Working as part of a highly skilled team, you'll deliver EMC testing for a diverse range of customers while developing your expertise within one of the industry's most respected laboratory environments.

The Role

As a Senior EMC Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering EMC testing from initial test setup through to final reporting, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and UKAS quality standards. You'll work directly with customers throughout the testing programme, providing technical support and ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and on time.

As an EMC Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpret customer specifications, test plans and applicable EMC standards.
  • Prepare and configure test equipment, instrumentation, harnesses and ancillary equipment.
  • Carry out EMC testing to military, aerospace and commercial standards including MIL-STD-461, DEF STAN 59-411, DO-160 and EN/IEC standards.
  • Record test parameters, observations and results accurately within laboratory documentation.
  • Produce detailed technical reports using approved templates.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers during attended testing, providing regular progress updates and technical guidance.
  • Identify non-conformances and escalate technical issues where required.
  • Support laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration activities and continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist in developing new test capabilities and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
