Role Overview

As a Helicopter Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting induction inspections, evaluation, maintenance, repair, assembly, and release activities on Safran helicopter engines. You'll work both at our Fareham facility and, if required, at customer premises—all in strict accordance with approved maintenance data, company procedures, aviation regulations, and our commitment to uncompromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Induction & Evaluation

  • Perform comprehensive incoming engine inspections: check engine identity, serial numbers, configuration, and review logbooks and maintenance history
  • Assess engine condition; review modification status, repair history, service bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness Directives (AD)
  • Verify Time Since Overhaul (TSO), Cycles Since Overhaul (CSO), Time Since New (TSN), Cycles Since New (CSN), and the status of Life Limited Parts (LLP)
  • Identify and record external damage, corrosion, leaks, and missing components; assess shipping condition and preservation status
  • Produce thorough pre-induction reports and generate maintenance work scope recommendations based on customer requirements and inspection findings

Level 1 Maintenance

  • Execute approved Level 1 maintenance, including visual and borescope inspections, external cleaning, filter and chip detector checks, leak and functional inspections, troubleshooting, LRU/minor component replacement, oil system servicing, and foreign object damage (FOD) checks
  • Complete accurate documentation, preservation, and engine preparation for storage
  • Recommend further repair requirements based on evaluation findings

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
