As a Business Development Director, you will play a critical role in accelerating IDC’s growth across EMEA. You will focus on new business development within a defined set of existing accounts, expanding IDC’s footprint by building strong executive relationships and positioning our Custom Solutions portfolio. This role is ideal for a competitive, self-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
You will join a small, high-performing team of Custom Solutions Specialists who partner closely with account teams to drive regional growth.

Candidates who apply may be contacted for an exploratory conversation or kept in mind for upcoming opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Drive new business generation by selling IDC’s Custom Solutions portfolio to clients in the technology sector.

- Support account managers by providing pre-sales expertise and helping them position and sell Custom Solutions into their existing account relationships.
- Develop deep expertise in IDC’s Custom Solutions offering, including key buyer personas (Marketing Intelligence, Regional Strategy, Marketing leaders) and their core use cases.
- Collaborate with EMEA leadership to shape regional growth priorities and contribute to the execution of strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with Global Solution Consultants to develop complex proposals, ensuring solution design aligns with client objectives.
- Maintain rigorous pipeline management in Salesforce, delivering accurate forecasting and consistently communicating progress to leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
