A leading global financial services group is seeking an EMEA Senior Capital Manager to join their Business and Balance Sheet Strategy team in London. Role Overview
Play a pivotal role in shaping and executing capital strategy across European entities, driving sustainable growth and resilience through expert analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders from Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, and business units to deliver impactful outcomes via teamwork and shared goals.
Key Responsibilities
- As an EMEA Senior Capital Manager based in London, you will immerse yourself in the heart of capital strategy for a global financial services group.
- Lead the development and execution of capital management strategies across European entities by providing insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making.
- Oversee capital planning processes including stress testing, regulatory engagement, and governance activities to ensure compliance with prudential regulations.
- Deliver clear recommendations that optimise balance sheet outcomes and enhance capital efficiency for long-term value creation.
- Build trusted partnerships with senior executives and Board-level stakeholders by translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
- Guide a small team in implementing strategic initiatives, regulatory programmes, and continuous improvement opportunities within the capital management framework.
- Work collaboratively with Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, and business teams to drive outcomes through shared objectives and mutual support.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting capital adequacy assessment processes and proactively adapt strategies to maintain compliance.
- Champion best practices in stakeholder management by fostering open communication channels across diverse teams.
- Support the Division Director in reporting on capital management performance and progress against key objectives.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth within the team.

Required Skills and Experience
- Experience leading capital management or balance sheet optimisation activities within regulated financial services environments is essential for success in this role.
- A strong understanding of prudential regulation frameworks including regulatory capital requirements, stress testing methodologies, and capital adequacy assessment processes is required.
- Proven ability to distil complex technical information into clear insights for senior executives and Board-level stakeholders demonstrates your interpersonal strengths.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills are vital; you must be able to build dependable partnerships across diverse teams through empathy and collaboration.
- Familiarity with governance activities related to capital planning ensures you can navigate compliance challenges effectively.
