Job Title: FP&A III

Position Summary

F5’s financial planning & analysis job family develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.

We are looking for an FP&A III to join our EMEA FP&A team! This role will support EMEA Sales and Marketing teams (report into Chief Revenue Officer) and G&A teams (Accounting, People & Culture, Real Estate).

FP&A is a critical team in our CFO org supporting the business in delivering F5’s strategic objectives (Promises) that align to the long-term vision including supporting profitable earnings growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial planning process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop and enhance financial models to support complex financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional financial projects, collaborating with stakeholders to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare presentations for executive leadership, summarizing financial performance and providing operational and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to inform strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Ensure monthly closing results are complete, accurate, and key trends and variances understood with actionable recommendations for the business, processes, or forecast.
  • Produce and communicate relevant standardized and ad-hoc reports and collaborate with key stakeholders (EMEA TVP, RVPs, and Field Marketing leadership, P&C) on drivers, risks, and opportunities relevant to OPEX and those relevant to productivity and profitability (contribution margin, org efficiency, discounting, revenue mix).
  • Process improvements that enhance efficiency or quality of insight delivering business value.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Financial and technical acumen of key terms and how they interact with each other.
  • Business partnering and stakeholder management driving accountability, transparent communications, and change management.
  • Business and data analysis skills including building reports, complex spreadsheets in Excel, and databases to measure business performance.
  • Ability to derive clear, well-supported recommendations based on detailed analysis of the given issue.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and comfort in communicating to senior leadership with strong presentation design through use of PowerPoint or Dashboards.
  • Proficiency in data visualization.
  • Experience with ERP systems, any BI tools including PowerBI, Excel, SQL, and use of AI tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues in and outside of Finance across multiple markets.

Qualifications

  • Work history sufficient for a FP&A III, and 3+ years' experience in FP&A.
  • Potentially in progress study of relevant accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires a flexible hybrid working environment (Addlestone office), where employees are expected to work in the office 30 days per quarter.
