The Role

Joining on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract within the Distribution function, you'll be the lead account manager on large institutional client relationships — delivering outstanding service to institutional clients and their consultants, and partnering closely with Client Directors on account administration and bespoke client requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as lead day to day account manager on large institutional client accounts
  • Building strong partnerships with Client Directors and the wider client account management team
  • Owning the resolution of non-investment client queries, or delegating appropriately
  • Leading project work that directly impacts institutional clients — attending meetings, owning actions and keeping project plans on track
  • Collaborating across the business to make sure bespoke client needs are understood and delivered
  • Leading meetings with clients and senior colleagues, and presenting internally and externally
  • Acting as subject matter expert within the client account management team, offering solutions to complex queries and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Maintaining the client database, fund profiles and regulatory records in line with departmental procedure

What we're looking for

  • Experience in institutional client service / account management within asset management
  • Available at short notice or immediately — ideal given the contract start
  • A solid understanding of the major asset classes and good awareness of market trends
  • Strong presentation skills, with the confidence to lead internal and external meetings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing deadlines
  • IMC preferred; familiarity with CRM packages ideal
