POSITION
Under the supervision of EMEA Finance Manager, you are assisting in maintaining financial reporting & controlling functions as well as internal control for our EMEA entities while working on ad hoc projects. You are in daily liaison with accounting teams.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
FINANCIAL REPORTING, CONTROLLING & PLANNING
- Help prepare and publish management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) on a monthly basis:
- Review of the monthly package for several legal entities including balance sheet reports and follow-up with accountants to adjust any issue
- Preparation of Stock, Purchases & margin reconciliations and monthly accruals
- In charge of reporting system input for month end and budget – work in partnership with accounting teams on journals to prepare each closing

- Controlling:
- Explanation of variances between budget and actuals - Develop standardised reports including sales, discount analysis etc
- Provide financial analyses as needed for Sales, Stock, Margin, Communication and Selling Expenses
INTERNAL CONTROL
- Review invoices & participate to payment process – ensuring correct delegation of tasks
- Cooperate with IC department to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
OTHER TASKS
- Assist in any finance or operational issues or queries stores, banks and/or administration may have
- Participation in stock takes (once year)
- Analysis of stock variances with stock controller and store manager
- Assist with process improvement projects

PROFILE
Education and experience:
- Experience of 2+ years in a similar role. Familiarity with retail business is a plus
- Degree with major in Finance, CIMA or Newly qualified ACCA candidate
- Software: Advanced knowledge of Excel, experience with corporate ERP, Power BI and reporting systems is a real plus.
- Fluency in English. French, Italian and/or Spanish is a plus

- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of detail orientation as well as strong analytical and accounting skills
- Good communication, autonomous, rigorous, pro-active, committed to quality
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Tech Savvy
