Role Overview

As a Vice President or Senior Associate in EMEA Rates Business Management within the Finance & Business Management team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the EMEA Rates franchise. You will partner with trading, sales, and technology teams to drive strategic and financial objectives, enhance business performance, and deliver on key initiatives. Your work will help ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence solutions, drive innovation, and contribute to the success of a global leader in financial markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute strategic and financial objectives for the EMEA Rates business
  • Partner with Rates Trading and Sales teams to drive the front office agenda
  • Identify and support opportunities to grow the business and client revenues
  • Collaborate with technology to advance the electronic trading agenda and resolve business challenges
  • Influence solutions to market structure changes and drive related initiatives
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis
  • Prepare and communicate business strategy, performance, and priorities to senior management
  • Assist in planning revenues, headcount, expenses, and investment initiatives
  • Oversee business efficiency and controls, including budget tracking and cost management
  • Partner with Financial Controllers to develop financial reporting and key MIS
  • Act as a liaison between Front Office and support groups to manage operations and implement initiatives

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good understanding of Global Rates market structure and Rates product knowledge
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment, maturity, and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Analytical skills with the ability to develop and present clear conclusions
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
  • Energetic, effective under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Knowledge of Rates operating model, finance structure, regulatory environment, and capital framework
  • Experience supporting Rates or Fixed Income businesses
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams on trading platforms or process improvements
  • Experience with financial reporting and management information systems (MIS)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global organization
  • Ability to drive process improvement and strategic initiatives
  • Experience in managing costs and budgets within a financial institution
