- Global FX: spot, forwards, NDFs, and options
- Money markets: deposits, certificates of deposit, European commercial paper, short-dated bonds, and repo/reverse repo
- Monitor market conditions, central bank activity, economic releases, and positioning to support execution discussions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, brokers, liquidity providers, and venues to support pricing and reliable access to liquidity
- Deliver timely market color, trade ideas, liquidity assessments, and implementation advice
- Contribute to pre- and post-trade analysis, sharing observations on liquidity, market impact, and certainty of completion
- Advise on trends and opportunities to improve execution outcomes
- Partner with trading colleagues to evaluate execution options across electronic, algorithmic, RFQ, and voice channels
- Drive improvements to systems, analytics, automation, and controls
- Support the organization in exploring securities lending capabilities and related opportunities, where appropriate
- Provide effective cross-desk coverage during periods of elevated activity and colleague absence
- Partner with risk, compliance, operations, and technology, combining expertise and perspectives to support a controlled trading process, with the shared aim of delivering the right outcomes for our clients

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
