EMEA Regional Lead

Role Purpose

The EMEA Regional Lead drives the business by managing all functional and operational responsibility across the Client Portfolio in EMEA and contributing to the strategic growth of the business. This role is the key number two role in the regional account structure working in close partnership with the Global Account Director and part of the Account Leadership Team.

The EMEA Regional Lead is integral to support the Global Account Director to drive and deliver a high level of client satisfaction, establishing and managing the service delivery team, delivering key regional initiatives as well as ensuring global consistency in processes, systems, and reporting. The role also ensures efficient and consistent operation of all facility management activities to meet contractual obligations with respect to the property portfolio of the Client throughout the region, achieving the Client’s regional outsourcing objectives of cost efficiency, service quality/consistency, Workplace experience, and risk management.

What this job involves

  • Manage Regional Functional Leads/Subject Matter Experts (SME) work streams to support the delivery teams across the region, 10 staff across 14+ offices
  • Ensure consistent reporting and coordination regionally
  • Using data to drive strategic decisions
  • Support the Global Account Director to drive and achieve goals and objectives including P&L, risk, energy targets, and the account SLAs & KPIs
  • Manage the sub-regional FM delivery ensuring standards are maintained and be a contact point for any Property Management account-related issues, provide training, and provide support in issue resolution.

Business Strategy:

  • Work with the Global Account Director in defining the regional account strategy
  • Represent JLL, workplace dynamics in the internal and external networking forums and client functions
  • Work with the Global Account Director and Finance Director to develop and manage the IFM budgets in conjunction with the Sub Regional Leads
  • Align closely with Regional Client lead to streamline and focus energies and projects, updates, etc.

Financial Management / Cost Control / Profitability:

  • Working with the Finance Director to compile and deliver monthly financial updates to the Global Account Director demonstrating control and knowledge.
  • In conjunction with Finance Director, support the preparation of accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Manage and control the account P&L with the Sub Regional Leads to achieve the business financial objectives.
  • Work with the account director to develop the annual client plans including driving Risk and opportunities within Property Management vertical

Client/Stakeholder Management

  • Develop strong relationships with key personnel in the JPMC organization
  • Ensure close contact is established with client organizations to remain abreast of current strategy, thinking, policies, and procedures
  • In collaboration with the Global Account Director, present at governance meetings the Property Management service – Annual, Quarterly & monthly and ensure direct reports do the same in region

Resource Management

  • Work with regional Human Resources lead on recruitment and selection strategies
  • Work with Global Account Director in defining and driving the performance management of staff
  • Work with regional Human Resources to develop regional training and skills development programs and ensure the plan is cascaded
  • Ensure succession plans are in place for key direct reports and coordinate same for all client service delivery staff through the management team

Senior Management Team Responsibilities

  • Active participation or representation in all in-Country Property Management management meetings
  • To identify issues and assess problems using a logical and rational approach and develop options and strategies to resolve
  • Organize regular operational meeting to ensure the SMEs and hub/country leads are aligned
  • Organize regular forums for networking and engagement for senior regional management
  • Build the team’s connectivity to the wider JLL Platform to enhance our ability to deliver efficiently for the client.

To apply you need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior account leadership role responsible for complex account structure running teams across multiple countries and/or multiple teams (ideally large country or regional cross-country account experience, looking for the next level of responsibility with a large, complex account)
  • Strong general management experience, minimum of 8+ years in the business and operations, preferably experience in Property Management. Ideally bringing key understandings of robust CAFM management, strong H&S, and security compliance understanding.
  • Proven track record in generating growth through business development
  • Qualifications in Engineering or relevant field preferred but not essential
  • Attention to detail and experienced first focus – think hotel style experience for workplace.
  • Demonstrate strong client relationship skills, be willing to turn up onsite 3-4 days a week, as needed.
  • Demonstrated strong people management skills, hands-on coaching, and proactive succession planning and development.
  • Understands the dynamics of a matrix environment and actively works through influencing and collaboration
  • Strong communicator – good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills (English & local language); also, an active listener
  • Self-motivated and confident, Gravitas, EQ.
  • Flexible – able to adapt and effectively deal with rapidly changing, stressful situations
  • Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives
  • Able to work independently and be a team player. Willing to roll up sleeves and get stuck due to lean nature of contract.
  • Exhibit honesty & trustworthiness, builds followership
  • Limited Regional and international travel required.
  • Primarily based from UK offices (London and Other) needs to be flexible to meet demands of clients' events and regional coverage as required.
