Position summary

The EMEA Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Senior Business Partner serves as the strategic SFE advisor and senior subject matter expert to the EMEA Biosciences (BID) Vice President and Commercial Leadership Team. The role drives commercial excellence and helps shape the BID growth strategy to deliver and exceed the Annual Operating Plan. This will be achieved through advanced data analytics and AI-driven insights, strengthened sales processes and KPIs, and increased adoption of digital tools and CRM capabilities to improve overall commercial effectiveness.

As part of the Centre of Excellence for SFE & Training, the role partners with all the Commercial Operations functions working collaboratively across BID to drive a culture of continuous sales improvement and high performance.

KEY GOALS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Partnership

  • Partner with and act as the senior SFE business partner and trusted advisor to the EMEA BID Commercial Leadership Team, providing expertise, insights, and constructive challenge to enable effective commercial decision-making.
  • Shape the EMEA BID SFE strategy and priorities, ensuring alignment with business strategy, growth objectives, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) commitments.
  • Proactively identify commercial performance risks and growth opportunities, translating insights into clear recommendations and actionable plans for leadership. Establish and strengthen Sales Representative and District Manager standard work to drive superior commercial performance and deliver financial commitments.
  • Influence decisions related to sales execution, resource deployment, territory strategy, commercial investments, and growth priorities through fact-based analysis, advanced insights, and strong business acumen.

Commercial Performance & Advanced Insights

  • Deliver advanced analytics and actionable insights, monitor key performance indicators, and advise leadership on emerging trends, performance gaps, and actions required to accelerate growth.
  • Partner with leadership teams to execute annual growth priorities and quarterly focus programs, leveraging weekly and monthly business reviews to drive accountability, focus, and execution.
  • Strengthen District Manager leadership capabilities and commercial rigor across funnel and forecast management, territory planning, performance management, and investment prioritization.

Subject Matter Expertise & Digital Enablement

  • Serve as the EMEA BID subject matter expert for Sales Force Effectiveness, providing leadership across key SFE processes, including Customer Connections, funnel management, lead management, business planning, and mobility, as well as enabling platforms such as AI, CRM, data science, quoting, sales enablement, and Power BI reporting.
  • Partner with global platform and technical teams, acting as the bridge between business requirements and technology capabilities to enable the EMEA SFE strategy and accelerate commercial adoption. Continuously assess emerging analytics, AI, and digital technologies to identify opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness and productivity.
  • Develop and lead the delivery of training content and enablement programs supporting the sales training curriculum and onboarding for SFE tools and processes, in partnership with the Sales Training and Development team.
  • Capture, champion, and represent the voice of the sales organization, translating user feedback into improvements that remove barriers to execution and enhance SFE tools, processes, and user experience.
  • Apply the PPI (Practical Process Improvement) Business System to drive continuous improvement, simplification, and sustained effectiveness across SFE tools and processes.

What will you need?

  • Life Sciences or Business Degree with extensive experience in commercial, commercial operations, business analytics, or related field (Preferred fields: Life Sciences, Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Significant progressive experience in commercial, commercial operations, Sales Force Effectiveness, business analytics or a related function within a complex international organization. Proven success in continuous improvement (e.g., Kaizen), sales processes, digital/AI systems and tools, analytics, and change management
  • Deep knowledge of CRM Salesforce.com and strong AI capabilities
  • Advanced analytical and data-visualization capabilities, including Power BI and Excel, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear executive-level insights and recommendations. Demonstrated ability to lead major commercial projects and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and storytelling skills, with demonstrated experience presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed and evolving environment, managing ambiguity and exercising a high degree of independent judgment.
  • Travel up to 10-15% may be required
  • English proficiency required; additional languages beneficial for international roles
