Shape the future of capital strategy in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment. Joining our Business and Balance Sheet Strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in helping drive capital decisions that support growth, resilience and long-term value creation across Macquarie’s European operations.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Manager within Group Treasury’s Business and Balance Sheet Strategy team, you will help shape and execute capital strategy across Macquarie’s European entity, providing insight and analysis that supports strategic decision-making and sustainable growth. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Risk Management and the business, you will lead capital planning, stress testing, regulatory engagement and governance activities while delivering recommendations that optimise balance sheet outcomes and capital efficiency. Reporting to a Division Director, you will lead a small team and play an influential role in guiding strategic initiatives, regulatory programmes and continuous improvement opportunities across the capital management framework.

  • Strong understanding of prudential regulation, regulatory capital frameworks, stress testing and capital adequacy assessment processes
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights and recommendations for senior executives and Board-level stakeholders
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across diverse teams and deliver outcomes through collaboration

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
