Overview
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.
As the Manager of the EMEA Solutions team for DX
You will lead a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers and Solutions Architects dedicated to driving the growth of the DX product (getdx.com) across EMEA. You will be responsible for scaling our technical strategy across pre-sales and post-sales, coaching SEs and SAs through discovery, POCs, and implementation, and acting as a key bridge between Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering leadership. You will partner as a peer with EMEA Sales and Customer Success leaders to ensure our platform meets the needs of rapidly growing and agile engineering organizations.
Responsibilities
Team Development: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a world-class EMEA team of Solutions Engineers and Solutions Architects. Build the bench as the region scales — hiring ahead of demand, developing IC talent, and fostering a culture of technical excellence, consultative selling, and continuous learning.
Pre-Sales Strategy & Deal Support: Act as a player-coach on high-stakes opportunities. Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to drive overall deal strategy, provide strategic oversight on Proofs-of-Concept (POCs), and ensure the SE team is effectively mapping DX capabilities to business outcomes.
Implementation Strategy & Support: Coach Solutions Architects through complex implementations and technical delivery. Provide strategic oversight on pilots and go-lives, and ensure clean handoffs from pre-sales into post-sales so customers realize value quickly. Partner with Customer Success — you do not own the CS motion — to keep technical delivery aligned with the customer’s outcomes.
Process Optimization: Standardize and scale POC playbooks, demo environments, implementation playbooks, and pre-to-post-sales handoffs to improve team efficiency, shorten time-to-value, and increase win rates as the EMEA team grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Resource Allocation: Manage the deployment of SEs and SAs across the EMEA pipeline and customer base, balancing pre-sales demand with implementation workload. Align technical expertise with deal and customer requirements across countries and segments.
Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the EMEA customer in leadership meetings. Operate as a peer partner to Sales and Customer Success leaders; partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize roadmap items based on technical friction and market trends identified during the sales cycle and implementation.
Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs for the SE and SA team to ensure alignment with regional revenue targets and successful technical delivery.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. We follow consistent hiring practices and account for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range.
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
Qualifications
Leadership & Strategy:
- Experience: 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a related technical pre-sales / implementation role, with at least 2+ years in a formal leadership or team lead capacity. Experience managing — or operating across — both SE and SA motions is strongly preferred.
- EMEA Expertise: Proven track record supporting sales cycles and technical delivery across EMEA, including multi-country, multi-stakeholder engagements. Comfort operating as a peer to regional Sales and Customer Success leaders.
- Operational Mindset: Experience building or refining scalable technical processes designed for a growing team (e.g., POC scoping documents, standardized technical discovery templates, implementation playbooks, and clean SE-to-SA handoffs). You have hired or scaled a team, not only managed a steady-state one.
Technical Depth:
- Engineering Context: Deep understanding of the SDLC, DORA metrics, and the SPACE framework. You should be able to speak peer-to-peer with a VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or CTO.
- Modern Stack: Familiarity with APIs, SQL, and Git workflows. While you may not be coding daily, you must be able to review the technical solution designs, POC strategies, and implementation plans of your SE and SA team.

Consultative Skills:
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to present to technical leaders and business decision-makers, quickly pivoting between technical details and time-to-value business outcomes. Comfortable in both late-stage deal rooms and implementation / executive technical reviews.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to manage technical objections and efficiently navigate security or architecture reviews — in both pre-sales and implementation contexts — to keep deals and deliveries on track without getting bogged down.
