Pay & Package

  • Hours: 42 hours per week (full-time)
  • Location: NE23 1WG
  • Annual Leave: Minimum 20 days plus bank holidays

Hourly Pay Rates

  • Emergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Days: £15.75 per hour
  • Emergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Nights (Monday–Thursday): £16.40 per hour
  • Emergency Care Assistant (PAYE) – Nights (Friday–Sunday): £17.25 per hour

Shift Patterns

  • 5 on / 4 off
  • 4 on / 5 off

(24/7 rota including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays)

Safer Recruitment Requirements

To join our frontline team, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
  • Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) or Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support
  • Previous patient-facing or frontline experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Calm, compassionate, and professional approach
  • Ability to successfully complete all safer recruitment checks including:
    • Enhanced DBS check
    • Occupational Health clearance
    • Right to Work checks
    • Driving licence checks
    • Employment reference checks
