Emergency Nanny - Basingstoke

Tinies Childcare is seeking experienced and professional Emergency Nannies to provide high-quality, short-notice childcare support to families across Basingstoke and the surrounding area.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for childcare professionals who value flexibility and enjoy working within a variety of family settings. Assignments may range from a single day of cover to longer-term placements, supporting families during periods of unexpected childcare need.
The Role
As an Emergency Nanny, you will provide safe, reliable, and nurturing care for children in their own homes, ensuring continuity of care while maintaining the routines and standards expected by parents.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing attentive care for children of all ages
- Organising stimulating, age-appropriate activities
- Following established family routines and preferences
- Preparing meals and snacks for children
- Supporting learning and development through play
- Ensuring a safe and positive home environment at all times

Candidate Profile
Applications are invited from individuals who can demonstrate:
- Previous professional childcare experience, either as a nanny, nursery practitioner or similar role
- A genuine commitment to children's wellbeing and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, discretion, and a professional approach
- The ability to adapt quickly to new family environments
A current DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, is required. A relevant childcare qualification and a full UK driving licence are desirable but not essential.
