Join us as an Emerging Technology Analyst

Gain exposure by identifying, researching, and experimenting with new technologies which can enable the bank to be an industry leader, delivering a modern, efficient, and seamless banking service.

Broaden your network and influence by building and maintaining relationships across technical departments, driving the technical agenda.

Drive meaningful change by seeking to apply advancements across the bank and enhancing processes and procedures to ensure the team, department, and division operate efficiently.

You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend a minimum of 2 days per week working from the office, with Monday and Wednesday being a mandatory in-office day.

What you'll do

As an Emerging Technology Analyst, you'll advance the knowledge of the team, department, and division in technical matters by maintaining a strong understanding of new and innovative technologies and sharing insights with wider technical and business audiences.

You'll also seek to understand the opportunities and risks associated with emerging technologies, including quantum computing, smart devices, and advanced AI, while working with academia and industry experts to deepen the bank's expertise in these areas through targeted experimentation.

In addition, you’ll be:

  • Supporting the discovery of new business propositions
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies and their potential impact
  • Leading the build-out of a Centre of Expertise within the Technology function, focused on an emerging technology and connected to the external ecosystem
  • Supporting the immediate delivery capability for innovation forum members in relation to new business propositions involving an emerging technology

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with experience leading and delivering innovation initiatives at scale across complex organisational boundaries, along with industry-leading knowledge of disruptive technologies, key trends, and customer demands. You should also have the ability to operate effectively across the global innovation ecosystem, with a strong track record of building influential relationships that drive collaboration and innovation outcomes.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • Experience of architecture design principles across organisation-wide production environments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of programming languages and technical domains
  • Awareness of the latest developments in the technology industry
