Help Make More Community CIC Build the Foundations for a High Quality Employability Support Service
We are looking for an experienced individual to help develop the frameworks, systems, processes and strategic approach needed to grow our employment and skills provision.

Your expertise will play a key role in helping Make More Community CIC build a stronger, more sustainable employability service. By helping us develop the right frameworks, systems and strategic approach, you will increase our capacity to secure funding, win contracts and deliver high quality employment support programmes.
- The foundations you help create will enable us to support more people facing barriers to employment, including young people, unemployed adults, individuals from underserved communities and those experiencing digital exclusion.
- Your contribution will strengthen our long-term ability to help people develop skills, gain confidence and move into sustainable employment.
- Rather than creating short-term change, your work will leave a lasting legacy by equipping our organisation with the structure, knowledge and capability needed to grow our impact for years to come. What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative professional who is passionate about helping organisations grow their ability to support people into employment. This role is ideally suited to someone with senior experience in the employability, skills, welfare to work, careers, education or workforce development sectors.

Our ideal volunteer will have:
- Significant experience of designing, managing or developing employability or employment support programmes.
- A strong understanding of the UK employability landscape, including commissioning, funding and contract delivery.
- Experience of developing organisational frameworks, processes, quality standards or service improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of participant journeys, outcome measurement and quality assurance within employment and skills programmes.
- Experience of working with organisations such as the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), local authorities, Combined Authorities, the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), or other employment and skills commissioners would be highly desirable.
- The ability to think strategically, identify opportunities for growth and provide practical recommendations that can be implemented.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our leadership team and external partners.
- A willingness to share knowledge, mentor others and help build our organisational capability.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, building sustainable systems and leaving organisations stronger than they found them. You do not need previous volunteering experience; what matters most is your expertise, strategic thinking and enthusiasm for helping us develop a high-quality employability service.

What Will You Be Doing?
As our Employability and Work Skills Consultant you will work alongside our leadership team to help strengthen and expand our employability provision. Rather than delivering programmes directly, your role will focus on helping us build the organisational foundations needed to develop, secure and deliver high quality employment support services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing our current employability offer and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Developing practical frameworks, processes and tools that strengthen our employability provision.
- Advising on best practice in programme design, quality assurance and participant journeys.
- Helping us prepare for future funding opportunities, tenders and commissioning opportunities.
- Identifying gaps in our current systems and recommending improvements to increase organisational readiness.
- Supporting the development of partnerships with employers, training providers and strategic stakeholders.
- Providing strategic advice to help shape new employment and skills programmes that respond to local and national priorities.
- Sharing knowledge, insights and good practice from the employability sector to help build the capability of our team.
You will be working directly with our Directors, who are committed to growing Make More's employment and skills services as part of our wider mission to create opportunities for individuals and communities. Your expertise will help us establish strong foundations that enable sustainable growth and maximise our impact for years to come.
