Join our dedicated team providing Work Based Learning programmes for students with complex disabilities.

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve their potential? Do you believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to develop the skills, confidence and independence needed for work and life?

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Employability Coach to join our team at Greensteps in central Cheltenham and play a vital role in supporting learners to succeed, primarily in the classroom.

As an Employability Coach, you will work closely with students and teaching staff to provide learning and employability support that enables learners to thrive. You'll help students build their knowledge, develop essential life and work skills, and gain the confidence to progress towards greater independence as they prepare for adulthood.

You will have previous experience of working with people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities ideally in education, job coach or care role as you will be assisting to provide practical employment coaching in education sessions to individuals or groups of students, as well as providing care /personal care assistance to students as required.

You will also be confident to build positive relationships with employers to establish successful work placement opportunities whilst supporting and guiding the students on internal and external work placements, ensuring a positive transition.

Good administration skills will also be vital to record and provide written reports on learners’ progress.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on learners' lives, supporting them on their journey from education into the world of work and helping them achieve their personal goals and outcomes.

Contract Type: Permanent

Contract: Term time only 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (0.9 FTE)

Salary: £28,219 FTE

Location Status: On site, (Greensteps, central Cheltenham)
