Role Description: Employability & Digital Skills Tutor
We are seeking an experienced and engaging Employability & Digital Skills Tutor to deliver our 10-day Digital Office Administration and AI Skills for Employment Programme. This is a remote, sessional/associate role, delivering live online training via Microsoft Teams.
Programme Delivery
- 10-day programme, Monday–Friday
- 10:00am–2:00pm
- 4 teaching hours per day
- Live online delivery via Microsoft Teams
- £25–£30 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging live online training using Oakwyn Skills' prepared curriculum, lesson plans and learning materials.
- Teach practical Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams skills.
- Develop learners' digital administration, file management, data entry and workplace communication skills.
- Introduce learners to the responsible and practical use of AI in the workplace.
- Deliver employability training including CV preparation, digital job searching, job applications and virtual interview preparation.
- Adapt delivery to different learner needs, abilities and confidence levels.
- Encourage learner participation, confidence and engagement.
- Monitor learner progress and identify additional support needs.
- Complete daily attendance registers and basic learner progress records.
- Review learner activities and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide a short daily handover/update following delivery.
- Work closely with the Training & Learner Services Administrator.
- Maintain professional boundaries and promptly report any safeguarding concerns.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience delivering training in employability, digital skills, business administration, adult education or workplace skills.
- Strong experience supporting adult learners and/or jobseekers.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
- Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Good understanding of practical and responsible use of AI in the workplace.
- Experience delivering engaging training remotely.
- Ability to support learners with different abilities, backgrounds and support needs.
- Strong administration and record-keeping skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Desirable:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS or equivalent teaching/training qualification.
- Experience delivering employability programmes to unemployed adults or jobseekers.
- Experience of Adult Skills Fund, Jobcentre Plus, Skills Bootcamp or other publicly funded employability programmes.
- Experience using Moodle or another Learning Management System.
- Experience supporting learners into employment.
Pay:
£25–£30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. The anticipated starting rate is approximately £28 per hour. The hourly rate covers programme delivery using prepared Oakwyn Skills materials, daily attendance registers, routine learner feedback/marking, basic progress records and a short daily handover. Any substantial additional work outside the agreed delivery hours will be agreed separately in advance.

Appointment will be subject to appropriate identity, right-to-work, reference and safeguarding checks, including DBS checks where required.
