M62 Corridor - Yorkshire

£28k- £34k Permanent Full Time
80% remote
20% on the road/meeting learners in the workplace/team meetings at HQ in Barnsley

To apply, you will need access to a car and have a full driving license, with all travel expenses paid.

Do you have your Level 3 AET & CAVA qualifications? We are looking for an experienced Employability Practitioner skills coach who can deliver our Employability qualifications, including learning and development, advice and guidance, business administration, customer service, or similar programs.

The role of the Employability Skills Coach:

  • To teach, coach, and support the development and progression of our learners on apprenticeship programs.
  • Ensure the delivery of apprenticeship standards, knowledge, skills, and behaviors or framework components throughout the learner journey is delivered through a quality process.
  • Teach, coach, and support learners within work-based settings, delivering effective and engaging training via a blended learning approach.
  • To conduct regular teaching and learning visits to ensure continuous development, progression, and achievement of learners allocated to your caseload.

We Are Looking For You To Have:

  • Level 3 qualification in Employability, Learning and Development, Advice and Guidance, Education, Business Administration, Customer Service, or a related subject, or equivalent occupational experience.
  • Coaching, Mentoring, Teaching, Assessing, or Learning and Development qualification (or willingness to work towards), such as TAQA, CAVA, AET, or equivalent.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, training, or supporting individuals within employability, education, apprenticeships, recruitment, welfare-to-work, youth services, or a related environment.
  • Proven experience of supporting individuals to develop skills, overcome barriers, achieve goals, and progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further learning.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employability programs, apprenticeship standards, work-based learning, and career development practices.
  • Understanding of learner-centred coaching techniques, target setting, action planning, progress reviews, and evidence collection.
  • Knowledge of government-funded training programs, employability initiatives, apprenticeships, or adult learning provision.
  • Good understanding of labor market information, employer expectations, recruitment processes, and current employment trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
