Pathway Group is seeking an experienced Employability Tutor to deliver high-quality training to adult learners in Birmingham.

The role will focus on developing the practical skills learners need to enter employment, including communication, customer service, teamwork, workplace behaviours, CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation.
Unlike a purely coaching-based position, this role carries responsibility for structured teaching, assessment, learner evidence, and the quality of programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured employability sessions
- Adapt teaching to different learner abilities and support needs
- Deliver topics including communication, teamwork, customer service, confidence, CV writing, and interview skills
- Assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate learner files, registers, and progress records
- Ensure learner evidence meets programme and funding requirements
- Monitor attendance, progress, and achievement
- Provide additional support to learners at risk of falling behind
- Prepare learners for work experience and guaranteed interviews
- Work towards agreed retention, achievement, and progression KPIs
- Participate in quality-assurance activities, observations, and standardisation meetings

Essential Requirements
- Recognised teaching or training qualification
- Experience delivering employability or vocational training
- Experience assessing learner work and providing feedback
- Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
- Ability to produce accurate and compliant learner records
- Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills

Desirable Requirements
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training or higher
- Information, Advice, and Guidance qualification
- Experience delivering publicly funded adult-skills programmes
- Experience supporting unemployed adults into work
We are looking for someone who combines strong teaching practice with a genuine commitment to learner progression. The right person will create an engaging classroom while maintaining the standards required for successful completion.
