Employee Benefits Account Manager
Location: Walton-on-Thames
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm
Salary: £30,000–£37,000 per annum depending on experience
Working pattern: Hybrid following successful completion of probation – 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Employee Benefits Team and play an important role in developing strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients. You’ll have the opportunity to build your expertise, undertake professional qualifications and develop your career within a well-established financial services business.
You will typically manage a portfolio of up to 40 corporate clients, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships while continuing to develop your knowledge across the employee benefits sector.
During your probationary period, you will work full-time from our Walton-on-Thames office to support your training, development and integration into the team. Following successful completion of probation, you will move to our hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Our Employee Benefits Team works closely with employers to design, implement and manage employee benefit programmes, including group pensions, private medical insurance, death in service, income protection and other workplace benefits.
We are looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing a varied portfolio and delivering a genuinely high level of service.
What will I be responsible for?
You will take responsibility for managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients, working closely with colleagues and benefit providers to ensure schemes are administered effectively and clients receive excellent service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of up to 40 corporate employee benefits clients and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries and ongoing scheme management.
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and developing a thorough understanding of each client's business, objectives and employee benefits requirements.
- Managing group pensions, private medical insurance, death in service, income protection and other employee benefit arrangements.
- Coordinating new scheme implementations, employee enrolments, scheme changes and annual renewals, including obtaining quotations and preparing renewal information.
- Ensuring workplace pension arrangements are administered in line with relevant pension legislation and regulatory requirements, including supporting automatic enrolment, ongoing compliance and pension re-enrolment procedures.
- Supporting the administration and reconciliation of pension contributions and other benefit-related processes, ensuring accurate and compliant records.
- Liaising with insurers, pension providers, benefit consultants and other third parties to resolve issues and ensure schemes are accurately administered.
- Reviewing client and employee data, maintaining accurate records and ensuring Know Your Client information is kept up to date.
- Supporting employee benefit communications and ensuring employees receive clear and appropriate information about their benefits.
- Responding to client and employee queries professionally, promptly and with empathy, while taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the client experience and develop existing client relationships.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Employee Benefits team and following internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

What experience and skills do I need?
We are looking for someone with previous experience within employee benefits, pensions, insurance or financial services, ideally with experience managing corporate clients.
You will have:
- Previous experience in an Employee Benefits Account Management or similar client-facing role.
- A good understanding of workplace benefits, ideally including group pensions and insured benefits.
- An understanding of pension legislation, automatic enrolment and re-enrolment requirements, or a strong willingness to develop this knowledge.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to deal with clients, insurers and benefit providers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
- Good written and numerical skills.
- A professional, positive and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to take ownership of your work while working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant industry qualifications, or a willingness to undertake professional study, would be advantageous.
