About Salary Finance
Working with employers, we provide a financial wellbeing platform as an employee benefit, helping employees to understand their money better, get out of debt faster and save for their future. We already have a reach of circa 4,000,000 employees through our relationships with over 500 of the largest employers in the UK.
By improving employee financial wellbeing, we have a very real and meaningful impact on people’s lives. We remove the stress and worry associated with financial difficulties by dramatically reducing the interest rates employees pay on their personal debt, and provide them with the tools needed to start saving sooner and be more financially secure. We are backed by some of the biggest brands, including investments from Blenheim Chalcot (the UK’s leading venture builder), Legal and General (the FTSE 100 insurer and asset manager), Experian and Goldman Sachs, and funding partnerships with JP Morgan and Blue Owl.
Launched in 2015, we have made excellent progress, and are scaling fast. We have been named BITC’s Responsible Business of Year, included in KPMG’s Global Fintech 100, listed top of the Forbes' list of socially-responsible startups, and profiled by the Financial Times, the Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Guardian, the Telegraph, CityAM and the Institute of Directors.
Your role in our mission
This is a hands-on senior role covering maternity leave that sits across two disciplines: Employee Communications (the employer-facing channel - client launches, employer comms strategy and B2B2C messaging) and Engagement (email marketing, B2C audience).
You're a self-starter who's used to being an individual contributor, able to deliver projects end to end with guidance and support from the Head of Engagement. Across B2B2C and B2C you will own compliance governance for the content and campaigns you’re responsible for, and be accountable for key KPIs such as applications and app downloads, and the quality of the client and end-user experience across every campaign you touch. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between strategic, employer-facing conversations and hands-on, data-led consumer engagement work from one day to the next.
What you’ll do
Employee Communications (B2B2C - Employer Channel)
- Lead and manage end-to-end launch communications strategies for large, complex clients working closely with Sales, Implementation and Client Success teams.
- Run client-facing communications workshops that explain our products, the regulatory context behind them, and best communications practice for engaging with our clients’ employees.
- Own content production for large client launches from initial brief through to post-launch review, and be accountable for production quality and delivery timelines against business and revenue targets.
- Own and manage a portfolio of large and complex enterprise clients or Key Accounts, providing them with strategic guidance, campaign ideas, content and day to day communications support.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Engagement on client management and campaign investment decisions, and be accountable for the quality of client experience across the campaigns you manage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Engagement (B2C - Consumer Channel)
- Own planning and execution for monthly B2C email marketing campaigns, and be accountable for the commercial effectiveness of the campaigns you run.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Data team to ensure audience data and impact reporting for email marketing is available, accurate and helps us shape our approach and decisions.
- Optimise our email marketing flow by identifying process improvements, delivery efficiencies, and contributing to seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams
Analytics, Compliance & Governance (Both Channels)
- Own and monitor engagement performance and reporting across B2B2C and B2C, leading analysis of what’s driving take-up and engagement and identifying trends.
- Own FinProm compliance governance for both the Employee Comms and Engagement content you’re responsible for, leading compliance input into product development and campaign planning, and acting as first escalation point for compliance queries within your remit.
- Represent the team’s standards - client management, content, messaging and compliance - in cross-functional discussions with Product, Client Success, Implementation, Compliance and Design.
Content (Both Channels)
- Own the creation of high-quality, engaging, commercially-minded multi-channel communications that resonate with our clients and their employees
- Collaborate with the rest of the Marketing team to create B2C and B2B2C content for new products and features
- Define consumer-facing messaging frameworks and ensuring consistency across every channel and touchpoint.
About you
Essential:
- 3-5 years’ experience in internal communications, employee engagement, CRM or campaign marketing, or B2C/B2B2C engagement
- Experience in regulated businesses, ideally including time in financial services or another FCA-regulated or otherwise compliance-heavy environment.
- A track record of owning complex communications launches end-to-end, from strategy through to execution and post-launch review.
- Hands-on experience with CRM/email marketing programmes - you’ve built and executed segmented, data-informed campaigns, not just briefed them.
- Confidence owning compliance governance for regulated or high-scrutiny content (FinProm/Consumer Duty experience is preferred).
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable turning campaign and engagement data into a clear, evidence-based recommendation and strategy for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent copywriting and messaging skills across various formats and multi-channel content (email, presentations, case studies and consumer-facing assets).
- A trusted-advisor operating style - you can work autonomously, influence senior stakeholders, and represent your function’s standards in cross-team discussions without close supervision.
