Why Join Us

We are looking for an experienced ER Advisor to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is currently based at our Upminster office, with an upcoming move to our Brentwood location.

The successful candidate will provide first-line Employee Relations support to line managers, advising on a range of people management matters including sickness absence, AWOL cases, family-friendly policies (including maternity and paternity leave), flexible working requests, and grievance and disciplinary cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an ER professional who enjoys providing practical guidance and ensuring people matters are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with company policies and employment legislation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing Employee Relations advice and support on sickness absence, AWOL cases, family-friendly policies, flexible working requests, and low risk disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate Employee Relations case records, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner when required.
  • Preparing and issuing correspondence, including invitations, outcome letters and supporting documentation.
  • Coaching and supporting managers through Employee Relations processes, including investigations, hearings, report writing and case outcomes.
  • Providing support through the HR Advice Inbox, ensuring queries are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Maintaining employee records and HR systems, including updating Occupational Health outcomes and disciplinary sanctions.
  • Producing management information and reports on Employee Relations activity, trends and case volumes.
  • Identifying Employee Relations training needs and delivering webinars, guidance and training sessions for line managers.
  • Ensuring employee data is accurately recorded, securely maintained and processed in accordance with GDPR requirements and company best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
