Employee Relations Case Manager

Competitive salary, 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays

Full time, fixed-term until 31st March 2027

Location: Covering the South (London, South East, South Central)

At Royal Mail, we’re proud of our people and the vital role they play in keeping the UK connected. We’re now looking for an experienced Employee Relations Case Manager to join our team, playing a key role in managing complex and sensitive casework. This role is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027.

About The Role

As an ER Case Manager, you’ll act as an independent and impartial decision-maker, leading on a wide range of employment relations matters. You’ll investigate and conclude complex cases, represent the business in Employment Tribunal (ET) and Early Conciliation (EC) matters, and help safeguard Royal Mail’s reputation through fair, robust and legally compliant outcomes.

This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly support our people, leaders and wider organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a varied caseload, including dismissal appeals, complex grievance investigations and appeals, whistleblowing and senior-level complaints, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
  • Representing Royal Mail in Employment Tribunal and Early Conciliation cases, working closely with external legal providers
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and timely communication on case progress and outcomes
  • Identifying trends and delivering targeted interventions, training or improvements to enhance line manager capability and address hotspots
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring high standards of governance, transparency and service delivery
  • Supporting wider business activity, including change programmes and organisational design initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
